What a Local Food Champion does

Builds a local community

Champions help bring together households who want access to fresh Aussie-grown produce through a neighbourhood Food Tribe.

Coordinates the local service

Champions coordinate the local member experience and the collection or delivery arrangements available for their Food Tribe.

Works with shared systems

Champions use the systems, tools and support provided by Your Local Food Tribe rather than having to build everything alone.

Designed for flexible local work

The Local Food Champion model is designed to create flexible earning opportunities for people in their own communities.

A particular part of our social mission is creating opportunities for women facing financial hardship or barriers to traditional paid work.

The opportunity does not guarantee income. Each Food Tribe depends on genuine local participation, readiness and the approved operating arrangements for that community.

Support behind every Champion

Training

Practical guidance to understand the Food Tribe model and prepare for local operations.

Systems

Shared systems to support member ordering, local coordination and ongoing Food Tribe operations.

Community

Champions build their own local Tribe while being part of the wider Your Local Food Tribe network.
